ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to Serious Coffee Facebook “fans” (www.facebook.com/GetSeriousCoffee) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Only legal guardians of minors (persons 17 years and younger) may submit and upload photos in which a minor appears. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary. Photos entered must be in good taste and will be removed if found inappropriate by Serious Coffee.
DEADLINE
Serious Island Tour photos will be accepted starting 9:00am PST on Monday, August 9, 2010. All entries must be submitted online (posted to the Serious Coffee Facebook page) by 5:00pm PST on September 30, 2010.
SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY
Photos must contain the entrant at each of the Serious Coffee locations (recognizable surroundings). Post your entry photos to the wall of the official Serious Coffee Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GetSeriousCoffee) and tag yourself. All entries MUST include a caption stating the location of the photo (for example, Broad St., Serious Coffee, Victoria). In order to qualify for the Serious Island Tour prize pack, you must upload one photo of yourself taken at each of the 25 Serious Coffee locations on Vancouver Island, BC (for a total of 25 unique photos). Upon uploading your 25th photo, you must post to the Serious Coffee Facebook wall the following, “I just completed the Serious Island Tour!”
PRIZE PACK
The Serious Island Tour prize pack consists of:1 Serious Coffee T-shirt; 1 Serious Coffee $10 Express Card; and 1 Serious Coffee Travel Mug. There is a limit of one prize per person, and contestant must meet the qualifications in order to win.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
Serious Coffee will announce the final list of Serious Island Tour Contest winners on Friday, October 1, 2010 via the Serious Coffee Facebook page:www.facebook.com/GetSeriousCoffee. Winners will be asked to contact Serious Coffee head office to claim their prize packs
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER
The prize is awarded without warranty, express or implied, of any kind. Limit one prize per person. Winners must claim their prizes in person at a Serious Coffee location. All prizes must be claimed by October 31, 2010.
TERMS
All photos must be the original work of the entrants and must not infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. If the photo contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photo, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit use of the photo by Serious Coffee and San Juan Coffee Roasting Co. Ltd.
Serious Coffee and San Juan Coffee Roasting Co. Ltd. reserve the right to remove fan photos from the Facebook page and contest consideration if the content is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate.
Each entrant agrees and grants Serious Coffee and San Juan Coffee Roasting Co. Ltd. permission to make available and display/perform and otherwise distribute entrants’ names and photo submission in all media in perpetuity without compensation. Except where legally prohibited, submission of an entry into this contest constitutes permission for Sponsors to use the entrants’ names, photograph, likeness, address (city and province), and testimonials, in printed, broadcast media, or new media, in perpetuity, in any manner they deem appropriate in connection with promoting the photo submission itself or this contest, without further compensation in connection with this contest or the prize awarded.
By participating in this contest, all participants agree to be bound by the official contest rules and all participants agree that the official contest rules are final.
The contest Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or modify the contest at any time if it determines that an event has occurred which compromises the fairness or integrity of the contest. All decisions of the Sponsor are final. |
